When we talk about Bermuda Triangle, the very immediate thing came to our mind is the mysterious disappearance of Ships and Aircraft. Martin Marlin, Usaf KB-50, Flight 19, USS Cyclops, and USS Proteus are some aircraft and ships lost in the Bermuda triangle and were never heard and seen again. For decades, there have been a number of transpires in this triangular area in the Western part of the North Atlantic Ocean bounded by the southeastern coast of the U.S. People have been trying to solve this mystery for years. Here are some facts that you might know about the Bermuda Triangle:

  • It has been estimated that around 50 ships and 20 aircraft have been lost but the exact number is still unknown.

  • The reason behind the disappearance is still unknown, some believe it is due to weather phenomena and other human faults.

  • According to popular theory, missing vessels were felled by huge rogue waves, which can reach up to 100 feet and are powerful enough to destroy ships and aircraft.

  • Another theory believes that Bermuda Triangle has some navigational errors - variations of compass.

Bermuda Triangle has been popularly referred s the Devil's Triangle, the Triangle of Death, the Twilight Zone, the Magic Rhombus, and the Voodoo Sea.

The very first mysterious disappearance occur in 1492. Christopher Columbus's first voyage to the new world, experienced variations in compass reading, and to avoid panic he hid this from his crew. Three days later they spotted a strange light hovering, this incident frightened the crew members. Many wanted to abandon the ship and returned to Spain but Columbus managed to convenience them. Columbus explained it was a meteor ( fallen star) that cause lightning.
